Social influence can play a major role in shaping a consumer’s attitudes and beliefs about a product and can impact their purchasing decisions.

     Situational factors refer to the specific circumstances surrounding the purchase, such as the time, place, and reason for the purchase. For example, a consumer may be more likely to purchase a cold beverage on a hot day than on a cold day, or a consumer may be more likely to purchase a product if it is on sale or if they have a specific need for it.

     Different products may be impacted by different environmental factors. For example, high-end luxury goods may be influenced more by internal factors such as personal values and status symbols, while everyday household goods may be more influenced by external factors such as family and social norms.

      In addition, the purchasing decision for certain products may be more situational. For example, emergency items such as batteries or flashlights may be purchased more often during natural disasters, while seasonal items such as sunscreen or winter coats may be purchased more often during specific times of the year.

      Overall, understanding the different environmental factors that influence consumer decision-making is important for businesses to develop effective marketing strategies that resonate with their target audience
